About
This is the weblog of Mike Phlegar and Deana Phlegar and our 2 daughters, Morgan and Mickayla.
Let me fill you in on our life! Mike and I have been married 13 years and after 9 years of infertility we were blessed with our first angel Morgan. A brave and selfless young mother named Ranee gave us this blessing and we have loved every minute we have had with Morgan. From the beginning Morgan has known where she came from and that Mommy’s tummy was broken and that she was waiting to join our family, and Heavenly Father found a way for her to be delivered into our arms.
November 2006 we made the decision for Morgan and Mommy to leave for Utah early while Daddy stayed behind to sell the house. This was a hard transition especially for Daddy we were not together for Morgans birthday and for Christmas and that was hard! Months past and the house did not sell! Wondering why we made the change a miracle happened and in February I received a call from Ranee telling me she was pregnant and wanted us to parent this new baby!!! I was so excited I called everyone that minute. My family has been a great support my brother and his wife took Morgan and I in, my mother offered to take Ranee in until the birth of our baby, and both Mikes and my Mother helped us out with some of the adoption costs! I want you to know I love you all and could not have done this without you! Now the journey begins!
In March Ranee moved in with my Mother and Morgan was excited to meet her. Morgan realized that Ranee was the the one that brought her into the world and was also bringing her little sister to our family. Soon after Morgan and I made a trip home to see Daddy. After 3 months away it was exciting. What was hard for me was that Morgan wanted to stay behind, so I returned to Utah and Morgan stayed with Daddy. He loved every minute ( Especially when she would cry at night and join him in his room). I was able to build a relationship with Ranee that I will cherish, we also found out we were having a girl! Renee is great and has such a great outlook on her life and would often tell me she was glad that her two girls would be raised together so that someday we can bring all the sisters together to meet someday. ( Renee has Airianna 6 yrs. and Emily 2 years)
The big day arrived and we were at the hospital preparing for a C- section. I was able to be there when Mickayla was brought into the world. It was so exciting, I was not able to be there when Renee had Morgan although my Mother was and stayed with Morgan until I arrived! I stayed in the hospital the three days until Mickayla could come home. Our life changed that day and we could not be any happier! The only problem was thinking of a name. We could not agree on this one. Daddy had talked Morgan into wanting the name Daisey! Although Mike told me that the minute I hold her in my arms I would know and it was exactly that she looked and felt like Mickayla!! Morgan still says she wants her name to be Daisey!
Soon after Mickaylas arrival my Mother, Renee, and I took a trip to California to take Renee home. I was able to meet her two girls Airianna and Emily what beautiful children! Renee makes beautiful girls! We left California and returned to Utah to begin our journey with our family. I had a great birthday this year because Mickayla and I took the long trip home to Virginia to meet Morgan and Daddy. It was love at first sight for Daddy as it was with Morgan he loves his little girls. Morgan also fell in love with Mickayla and sometimes can no get enough kisses. She has been a great help feeding Mickalya and helping with the diaper changes. If only I could train her to get up with Mickayla through the night!
So here we are a family of four and we are in hog heaven! Times are still tough we still are waiting for the sell of our home and for now I am on medical leave and have until July 23rd. So we are in limbo! I know that I want us to be in Utah, and we will miss Mikes family and Virginia terribly. I have learned through all this seperation that home is where your husband and children are, so be it in Utah or in Virginia I am home now because I am with Mike, Morgan, and Mickalya! I have said many a prayer that we will sell the house so we can start a new life in Utah and have the support and love of my family to prepare to have our daughters sealed to us in the Temple. The Lord is probrably confused because I know family and friends in Virginia pray we will stay and family in Utah pray that we move so he needs a little time to figure out what is best for my family. All your prayers are greatly appreciated and we cant wait to keep you posted on where our lives lead us!!
