Self Portrait

Hey all! Just a little photo of David in self-portraiture. This may be an end to the daily updates since we are minimizing our house. It won’t be long before Deana is back in Utah (July 25), and there is soooooo much to do. Needless to say, we are stressed and don’t know where to put everything. It’s not like we have somewhere to put it (like a new house, apt, truck or something). We are placing a bunch in storage and giving a bunch away. Time is creeping up, pretty soon it will be here.

See you guys next time, we will try to update as much as possible. With half of the family in the west and the other half in the east, it may be taxing. Love to all – Mike

A Good Day

Ok, so Mickayla decided to be a good girl! Today is a better day for the girls. Morgan had a chance to have Emilita over and Mickayla was a joy. Now the problem is, Mommy does not feel well!!! I can’t win, oh well that is the nature of the beast! We are still stressed, however making the best!

Mickayla

Thought I would show you Mickayla on a good day, because today certainly is a BAD day! Mommy can’t get anything done because Mickayla is sooo upset. I’m not sure why. Mike’s Mom came over to let me get some work done, and Mickayla would not have any of it! She only wanted Mommy! Morgan is having it rough also today, because she is having to play by herself and it is too hot to play outside. I feel awful! I’m sure that this is just the beginning and within the next 18+ years we will have more of these days. I see it as a blessing and would not change a thing! Mickayla is my blue eyed beauty, and Morgan is my brown eyed beauty!

Morgan Vamping

Morgan was invited by her best friend Emilita to Summer Bible Camp for the week and loved every minute of it. She would go from 6pm-9pm for one week. On the last night, they had a show for the parents to hear them sing. Emilita did not want to go, however, Morgan wanted to because she was so loved by all the other children. It was really cute and she loved the music. Today we had a yard sale and was it awful! Never again will I do that. We had a lot of large items that did not sell so we are donating them. It was about 94 degrees, with 75 % humidity. Not like the 100 in Utah!! Our house is a mess; we are still stressed, however we are making the best of it!

Abuela y Abuelos

Of course we are missing some of our little ones, Ashley, Breanne, Morgan, Adrianna, Kyla, Mickayla,  Alicia,Josephs wife Sarah, and my big boy Mike! Its hard to believe that all this started with the Abuelos! I’m sure they are very proud. They have been, and are a vital part of our family. I cant wait to have another picture like this taken very soon! We are a good looking family, thanks to Abuela y Abuelos good looks!

Not a day goes by that we do not think about or talk about you! I always have great stories to tell about my big sister that I truly looked up to and always wanted to impress. I hope that you are proud of what I have accomplished, I know you had a big part in Heaven bringing these two Angels into my life,

Snow in Utah

It is hot today on the fourth of July, so I needed a little cooling off! This is Morgan last December in Utah. We know that Utah will be quite different. In Virginia it only snowed a little, and in Utah it snowed every Thursday! We are not sure how we will get used to it, I know Morgan loves it!

Playing with the Kids

Morgan was very jealous of any attention Mickayla was receiving from her cousin David! It has always been all about Morgan and now that a Sister is in the picture, she has to share the limelight! I guess that is normal. We make sure that Morgan knows that she is loved because she was the first, and Mickayla is loved because she is the last! (I’m Sure?) Again, we had a great time with our cousins and can’t wait to see the cousins in Utah and Colorado. I think Kyla, Adrianna, Alicia, and Morgan will get along wonderfully!

Cousins

Here it is, the great visit with our cousins! Morgan loved having them here and was so sad they left. We had a traditional Virginia dinner of pork barbecue, macaroni salad, fruits, and key lime and pecan pies! Oh yea, and don’t forget Grandma Phlegar’s iced brownies! Morgan would not leave David alone and loved playing games with him. Grandma Phlegar, Aunt Sue and Uncle Pops also came, and of course asked Morgan what toy she wanted; right away she said ” Spider Man Wall Crawler!” Did they get it for her? YES, because she is spoiled by them! We also went to Maggie Moos with David and Vanessa and enjoyed our ice cream, Morgan even entertained the crowd! Sunday we had breakfast and said goodbye! We did not go or do anything exciting just sat around talking the whole weekend, which I think was the best! Mike and I also enjoyed talking with our cousins, being around family is great!!!! Now the down side to the weekend was that our little Mickayla was in a bad mood! She was not happy and would not let David and Vanessa hold her much. Although David did hold her and walked her to sleep, once he realized she was HEAVY Mommy took over! Thank you David and Vanessa for the great visit we love and will miss you!
