Hi,

Here are the kids meeting Santa at The Daily Herald in Provo, Utah on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. Morgan has posed so much for Mom, she always drops into it whenever a camera is brought out. I can’t believe they are getting this old, wow.

Hi All,

Away from Facebook and back into the blog. I need to make them connectable. Anyway, we had a fun Halloween this year. Of course they had “Trunk-or-Treat” in our neighborhood, worst invention ever. Before that, we went the old fashion way in some other neighborhoods, knocking on doors and meeting people, that was so much more fun. The kids had a blast doing that. Later, they went to Aunt Di’s to show off their costumes. We got lots of candy, but it’s just about done. Family is fine, athough getting over the pig flu. Hope all is well where you are, miss you. Hiya,

Deana off today, so we had McDonald’s at the park before I go to work today. The kid’s were really getting into swinging. The weather is really hot, in the upper 90′s, but supposed to drop to the 70′s for highs this weekend. I get a week off next week and I am really looking forward to not working late hours during that time. The hours I have really suck. Hope ya’ll are well, see you on FB – Love, Mike

Pioneer Day in Lehi

Hi all,

Pioneer Day in Utah is a state holiday. It commerates the pioneers who traveled here by handcart across the plains from Missouri and settled the Salt Lake Area. Everyone has the day off, even the PO doesn’t deliver. It’s kind of a bonus holiday with a huge parade that rivals Thanksgiving Day parades. Lehi Firefighters provided some entertainment for the kids that day with some huge foam piles. The weather was stinkin’ hot and we didn’t get to stay long. The photos are pretty funny though. Morgan, not being shy, jumped right in, but Mickayla was a little more hesitant. Hope all is well on your end – see ya on Facebook, Love, Mike

Mom had to work Saturday, so Mick, Morg and I went to the park near Morgan’s summer dance class. It’s in an uppity neighborhood, so of course, everything is pristine. There is a small stream running through the grounds and state of the art playground equipment . Thanks, rich dudes. Here are a couple photos. Playing in the Garage

We had to play in the garage on Tuesday because it is really hot here. Yesterday it was 95, today it was 98 when I was driving into work. I hear you suckers in Virginia are having one of the coldest julys in a long time.
I still wouldn’t trade it for the wet winter we had last year in Utah. I’ve had it with snow.

We went to new restaurant in Lehi on Friday. We expected a “Dogwood” style joint, but instead just another tired old style burger joint. Bad service and average food. I miss the “blue plate” diners in Va. Hope all is well, Mike

Hi, I hope everyone is doing fine. We are still here, still working, still watching the kids, and watching each other go to each other’s job, if that makes any sense. Here are some more photos from the hike we took around the 4th. It was fun, not sore anymore but I was for awhle. I guess at my age it’s a miracle I made it up and lived to talk about it. Morgan has been in Day Camp all week. She is learning the play “Shrek” and will have a small part in it tomorrow night. We drop and pick Morgan up near a park, so Mick and I checked it out. Has you can see, she loved the playground area. This photo was taken this morning. See ya – Mike
