Mike and Deana

Hiya,

Deana off today, so we had McDonald’s at the park before I go to work today. The kid’s were really getting into swinging. The weather is really hot, in the upper 90′s, but supposed to drop to the 70′s for highs this weekend. I get a week off next week and I am really looking forward to not working late hours during that time. The hours I have really suck. Hope ya’ll are well, see you on FB – Love, Mike

We went to new restaurant in Lehi on Friday. We expected a “Dogwood” style joint, but instead just another tired old style burger joint. Bad service and average food. I miss the “blue plate” diners in Va. Hope all is well, Mike

Hi, I hope everyone is doing fine. We are still here, still working, still watching the kids, and watching each other go to each other’s job, if that makes any sense. Here are some more photos from the hike we took around the 4th. It was fun, not sore anymore but I was for awhle. I guess at my age it’s a miracle I made it up and lived to talk about it. Morgan has been in Day Camp all week. She is learning the play “Shrek” and will have a small part in it tomorrow night. We drop and pick Morgan up near a park, so Mick and I checked it out. Has you can see, she loved the playground area. This photo was taken this morning. See ya – Mike

Hey all, I hope you had a safe Fourth this year! We climbed a mountain ( 1.5 miles straight up), then went spelunking at the top. Then we had a barbeque and family over then fireworks at the jr. High. Then picnicing on Sunday night up in the mountains. All this with some cool neighbors.

And yes, I made the hike but I still feel it three days later.

Ok so we will make this a seasonal website! It has been so hard to update this website! With my schedule, Mike’s schedule and not a lot of time for us! We hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas, we wish we could be with everyone this season we miss and love you all!!! So I finally broke down and took the girls studio pictures, hope you all enjoy! We will post some of Morgan’d birthday pictures soon! ( I will I promise, now my soon and your soon may be totally different!!!)

So today is our 14 year anniversary!!! It is hard to remember the date even for me! I will refresh you all of the delightful story! 14 years ago today I had a airline ticket to Utah from Denver, I was traveling there to prepare for our wedding in Provo. ( Mike was to drive from Denver to Utah and meet me there on our wedding date). All the invitations were out and the cute little napkins with our names and our wedding date October 22, 1994! A few days before my flight we were informed that we could not marry in Utah! So what do we do? We ask our Bishop that we adored to marry us on October 19th. at his home. It was sweet his wife made a cute wedding cake, and decorated her home. In attendance were My Aunts,Uncles, and Cousins who lived in Colorado Springs. ( You all know who you are!) Mike wore a suit and I wore a satin cream suit jacket and skirt. It was over in a flash and we were married. Mike then rushed me to the airport and our wedding night was spent apart! A man on the plane sitting next to me said how beautiful I looked. as I told him ” I was just married!” He said that my husband could come and sit by me, then I informed him that he was down on the ground! WEIRD!!! So we saw each other on October 22 at the reception in Provo. I felt silly in my wedding dress because I only wore it for that one hour!!! Anyway its a great story to tell our grand kids someday!

Yesterday we left the kids with my mom over night and we went to our usual anniversary restaurant Red Lobster! And then came home to record more of our Christmas CD. The girls had fun with my mom and we had a great weekend! Here are some pictures of Mickayla hangin with Grammy and playin with bugs!

So Morgan has been running a fever the past few days. She came to me last night with her lips swollen! ( See Below) they just kept getting bigger! Mike took her to the Doctor and she has strep! Go figure her friend Meagan went to the doctor today and she has strep. So what do you think the odds of us getting it will be?????? She is on Antibiotics and can return to school once her fever lowers.

So life had been a little crazy and we have not had time to update our blog! Let me tell you the deal! So Mike is working now and we see very little of each other. I work 8-5 and Mike works 5-1 am. We have a neighbor that watches the girls for the hour that is between Mike leaving and me coming home! It is nice to have family around, having my Mother to help is the best! Mike is having ahard time liking being at work so we will see how that goes! My job is crazy, we are heading into the christmas season and the company is going through some hard times and doing some cut backs. Now that Mike is working he did cut his hair and I think looks very handsome, he hates it! I had my wisdom teeth out a few weeks ago and some other dental work so I have a new smile!!!!! The girls are growing, Morgan is reading now in school and loves her teacher. Mickayla is not eating well and still does not sleep through the night! Poor Mommy!  I have felt very blessed these past few Months and am grateful for all my family!  So that is all of it in a nut shell, we will try to be on top of keeping the blog up to date! Hiya everyone, Last Saturday, Deana had the day off, so we drove to Sandy and picked up the Trax commuter train and rode it into the city. It was quite an adventure and we had a lot of fun, or at least the kids did. We went to Discovery museum for kids and spent most of the time there. It wore Deana and I out, but the kids loved it. Later we met Lauren and Grandma Pitts at the Gateway, the downtown shopping extravaganza, and had some smoothies. Also the Apple store is there, and I got to go in there and drool a little. The place was packed. The weather was great and it’s still hot here. I hope all of you are doing well and having adventures of your own. Till next time, Mike.
