Carriage Park Today

Mickayla, Mike, Morgan No Comments »

Hiya all, Today it’s not quite so hot, only around 90 instead of 98 degrees. We went to carriage park today-not far from home and less crowded. Hope all is well with everybody. ‘Till next we meet, Mike

Park on Saturday

Mickayla, Mike, Morgan No Comments »

Mom had to work Saturday, so Mick, Morg and I went to the park near Morgan’s summer dance class. It’s in an uppity neighborhood, so of course, everything is pristine. There is a small stream running through the grounds and state of the art playground equipment . Thanks, rich dudes. Here are a couple photos. Morgan made lots of friends there and Mick ran around like a maniac. ‘Till next we meet – Mike

Rare Night Out!

Deana, Mike 4 Comments »

Heya all, Deana and I got a rare night out to go to a concert in Salt Lake City yesterday, July 30, 2008. The Rice’s had given me tickets to see a Joe Cocker/Steve Miller Band concert for my birthday. It was an outdoor venue, Usana Amphitheater if you are from this area, and the weather was absolutely beautiful. Both bands were excellent. I had to remind people who Joe Cocker was, that he opened the weekend in WOODSTOCK in 1969, tsk, tsk. It was great, we had a good time and here are the photos, hope everyone is well. Love, Mike

The trip…in pictures

Starting out in Vinton, Va, at my brother’s house.

Crossing Illinois and through a town Deana and I used to live in, off Zumbehl Rd.

This crossing from Kansas up into Nebraska, was a long trip through Nebraska and Wyoming. Whew…

The Wyoming border, we thought we would never get there.

This was a long part of the trip. Lots of hills going across Wyoming. Sometimes the truck would only hit 45 mph. I underestimated how long this leg of the trip would be, in a car, the hills never slow you down. It was painfully long with at least 3 fuel stops in Wyoming.

Finally, crossing into Utah near ski country.

MADE IT! This is the neighborhood. We made it to Utah, and boy were we beat. Of course the next day we had to unload the truck and take it back to Penske. Alan got the wedding dress the next day then helped unload and then took a 10 hour (due to connections) flight home on Friday. He was a great help to me and I really appreciate it.
Well, that was the trip, more postings to follow. I hope everyone is well and please comment or email me so I know how you are doing, plus, I may have your email addresses locked up on one of my packed-up computers.

Till next time, Love Mike
